Weaving Stories
The 2023 Weaving Stories "Keep the Flame Alive" workshops, as part of the Gaimariagal Festival, offer a unique opportunity to engage with local Aboriginal Knowledge Holders and Traditional Master Weaver while also exploring your own creativity.
These workshops provide a platform for participants to hear captivating stories and learn traditional weaving techniques.
By attending these workshops, you will have the chance not only listen to the rich narratives shared by Aboriginal Knowledge Holders but also to actively participate in creating your own piece of jewellery or personal ornament using Traditional weaving methods. This hands-on experience allows us to connect with Culture in a meaningful way, while also expressing your own creativity and appreciation for the art form.
